Swiftplay will stay Full Time In Valorant Modes

The information in this post has been updated for 2024.

The trial phase of one of VALORANT’s most well-liked modes has come to an end, with a positive outcome. Riot Games confirmed today that Swiftplay will be a permanent fixture in the game, following a successful testing period.

In a statement published on the official VALORANT channel, Coleman Palm, the gameplay product manager, informed players that Swiftplay had passed its trial and will be a full-time mode starting from Patch 6.03.

“The beta phase of Swiftplay is coming to a close with the release of Patch 6.03,” said Palm. “We’re keeping it in the game for good.”

Palm emphasized that just because the beta tag is being removed from Swiftplay, it doesn’t mean that the mode will never see any changes. He assured players that the VALORANT team will continue to look for ways to improve the mode and more information will be shared in the Patch 6.03 notes.

The Swiftplay mode made its beta debut with the release of Patch 5.12 in early December 2022, along with significant changes to many of the agents in the game, including a major nerf to Chamber. The mode offered players a streamlined version of unrated play, consisting of a best-of-nine match.

In Swiftplay, both teams start each half with two ultimate points, and each round in the four rounds per half begins with a fixed credit amount for both teams, with the exception of the team that wins the pistol round receiving an extra 600 credits.

Swiftplay provides players with a faster-paced experience than unrated or competitive, without the predetermined weapons or random orb pickups found in Spike Rush. The mode, now a permanent feature in the game, is an excellent option for those seeking to complete their daily and weekly missions.
